The Winnebagoland Division, MWR, NMRA, is a not-for profit organization and exists to promote the hobby of scale model railroading. The Division was officially chartered in April, 1965. It encompasses the entire Northeastern portion of Wisconsin and the Western half of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. We have nearly 230 NMRA members, four Master Model Railroaders, and countless other modelers and railfans in our Division. The Division's quarterly newsletter, the WHISTLE, is in it's 32nd year of publication. It is distributed free to NMRA members residing within the Winnebagoland Division and is available by subscription to all others. We hold two meets each year. Our Spring meet usually includes a banquet and guest speaker while the Fall meet is a less formal affair. All meets are open to everyone and NMRA membership is not required to attend. Model and Photo contests are held at all meets. There are categories for the Novice as well as the Advanced modeler. Judging is done in accordance with the NMRA Contest Guidelines. There are many clubs within our Division and most welcome visitors. Some clubs sponsor non-Divisional events during the year such as swap meets, open houses, or public displays.
